About This Event
Loss is an inevitable part of ageing, whether through bereavement, changing relationships, retirement, loss of health or independence, or shifts in identity and purpose. Yet loss is not only an experience of what is gone; it can also become an opportunity for reflection, learning, adaptation and personal growth.
This one-hour CPD workshop explores how we can support ourselves and others to navigate loss in later life in ways that acknowledge grief while also recognising the potential for resilience, meaning and continued development. Drawing on psychological perspectives on loss, adaptation and growth, participants will consider how people can make sense of change, develop new ways of coping, and discover possibilities for flourishing as they age.
